I purchased multiple Renogy REGO products for my van build, including a REGO battery, REGO hub, REGO inverter, and REGO DC-to-DC charger. Due to the complexity of the build, it took several months to complete the installation.
Over the two years I owned the system, the inverter saw very light use—only a few occasions for shore power and to run basic 120V appliances. Just four months after the 2-year warranty expired, the inverter completely stopped producing 120V output.
I contacted Renogy support and followed their troubleshooting request, including providing a video showing the inverter powered on with a voltmeter confirming zero output. After submitting the requested evidence, I received a response stating the unit had failed—but no offer of repair, replacement, or paid service options was provided.
For a premium, integrated power system marketed for mobile and off-grid use, a lightly used inverter failing shortly after warranty expiration—with no path to resolution—is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend the REGO inverter or Renogy’s post-warranty support.
