Frequently Asked Questions

Can you use 2- 100ah lithium ion batteries with the 3,000 watt inverter? I think I read somewhere that it requires 3- 100ah batteries.

Yes, you can use 2-100Ah lithium-ion batteries with a 3,000-watt inverter, but there are considerations. Many lithium batteries include a Battery Management System (BMS) that limits the output current. Most 100Ah batteries will typically limit the current to 100 DC amps continuous. If the current exceeds this limit, the BMS may shut off the battery to protect it. With 2-100Ah batteries, you may only get a maximum of 200 amps, which wouldn't be enough to fully drive 3,000 watts. However, you should be able to achieve around 2,000 watts, depending on the inverter and load requirements.

Anyone having trouble running a 1100 watt microwave with the 3000 watt unit with nothing else on?

Our setup runs fine, but make sure the wiring you’re using is of adequate gauge to handle the load. If the wiring is too thin, it can cause voltage drop or overheating, which may affect the performance of the microwave or inverter.

I asked this before and got an answer that didnt answer my question what generators are compatible with this inverter?links to any?

Any 60Hz generator is compatible with the inverter/charger. However, using an inverter-type generator would be ideal due to the sensitive electronics in the inverter. I personally use a 6k Onan generator without any issues. Keep in mind that charging batteries with the inverter can draw a significant amount of power. For a 1,000-watt inverter, I would recommend at least a 3,000-watt generator to ensure it can handle the load and charge effectively.

What are the implications of getting a 2000 watt vs 3000 watt? i will have a total of 630 watt in solar panels and 100-200ah lithium battery

Choosing a 2,000-watt vs 3,000-watt inverter depends on your power needs. With a 2,000-watt inverter, your system may limit you to a maximum of 24 amps, regardless of whether the system is designed for 30 or 50 amps. If your appliances or loads require more than 2,000 watts, a 3,000-watt inverter would be a better choice, allowing you to operate more equipment or use more power at once. However, with 630 watts of solar panels and 100-200Ah batteries, it’s important to ensure that your battery capacity and solar input can support the increased load of a 3,000-watt inverter.

Can I use the Bluetooth Module to monitor this inverter charger from my phone? Which Bluetooth Module should I buy?

Yes, this inverter charger has built-in Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to monitor it using the DC Home app or the Renogy One M1/Core Monitor. This module works with the inverter, enabling you to track performance, check battery status, and make adjustments remotely. Be sure to use the correct Bluetooth module, such as the Renogy BT-2, for seamless monitoring.
