Note:

  • For some makes or models of vehicles, the cigarette lighter port may not operate when the ignition is turned off. In such cases, please connect the trickle charger maintainer to the battery directly.
  • The trickle charger maintainer must be disconnected from the battery or cigarette lighter port when starting the engine or driving the vehicle. Electric surges from the alternator when starting and running may damage the trickle charger maintainer.

    Bought this for two reasons. 1) to keep the battery in my motorcycle topped off. The MC sits next to a window so its perfect! Did a little VOM testing just to make sure that it was getting a charge to the battery and all looks good. The second reason was to "test the waters" with Renogy. I'd really like to build a ground up "emergency power" system to power things like the furnace, fridge etc. but kinda wanted to see what the company was all about before I dove in. This little 10W was on back order for a month, so that was disappointing but because the price was so good, it was worth it. I wish Renogy would have kept in touch better. After a couple of weeks, I put in a ticket to find out the status. They got back to me but it was a few weeks later.... I had already received my device. Still considering using the company, but may test the waters with another product before I commit to a lot of $

    Great looking and works - but be warned: it is NOT to be used outside wherever it can get wet, and it does NOT have a charge controller. Just a bare boned solar panel.

    Quality Product but Descriptions a little Vague

    Good Quality Product. Decent quality for the Price point. I'm not so sure about this product having a solar controller or not. It's not in the description and and the product itself doesn't seem to have one visibly or internally. I would recommend buying a solar controller to be on the Safe side.

    Complete pkg. extra value, solar panel has its own nicely fitted cover, use it over the sun visor or the suction cups with two spare cups. 4’ of wire.
