I bought my flashlight in July of 2021. I use it almost daily. After 4 years the battery is still strong and gives me hours of use. It's built tuff and it last. Other rechargeable flashlights I've had only lasted about 2 years before the batteries wore out or they just quit working all together so I really like this Renogy flashlight. This is a good price for this flashlight. I've paid twice the price for other flashlights that were supposed to be the best built and longest lasting but like i said i was lucky to get 2 years use out of them because of the constant use. Thanks Renogy. 5 stars for this flashlight.

On 10/06/2021, I purchased a Renogy EFlex10 Portable Solar Panel for $13. When my package arrived in the mail, instead of a solar panel I found a flashlight inside. I never received any response from Renogy about why I received a completely different item, however according to other customers on a deal web forum they said that Renogy ran out of the solar panel as a result of a price mistake and simply gave everyone flashlights instead. Already, I acquired a poor perception of Renogy as a result of this issue. That flashlight is the product I am writing this review for.

The battery of this flashlight does not last long. It has become even worse over the years, though it still turns on and lasts 5 minutes. It takes a long time to charge via cable, and it can take days using the solar panel exclusively even on intense summer days. It uses an old standard for cable connection, micro USB, that breaks cables easily. This standard of charge slot was old even in 2021. I wish I could open the flashlight up and solder USB C, but there doesn't seem to be any way to open it up. Also, when I solar charge this flashlight the black metal finish turned brown probably due to UV exposure. I attached three photos to demonstrate how significant of a color change it is. Don't waste your money on this flashlight. I am disgusted that Renogy continues to scam customers with this flashlight in 2025.
