1. Which kind of extension cord I should purchase with this panel for more mobility from my RV?

The Renogy Solar Panel Extension Cable will be able to make more space between your solar panels and the charge controller. There is multiple size choice, please choose the same size of cable for extension. And please also realize that the longer the extension, the greater the line loss. A bigger gauge will be required for longer runs.

2. What type of batteries can be used with the kit?

Battery type compatibility depends on the charge controller specified compatible battery type. This solar kit comes with a Renogy Voyager 20A PWM waterproof charge controller. It supports Gel, AGM, Flooded, and Lithium batteries. Still, please set the correct battery type once it is installed and if a Lithium battery is connected, please manually set the system voltage due to the corresponding battery voltage. It also comes with a Lithium activation feature.

3. Can this kit charge two or more 12V batteries connected in parallel?

Yes, it's possible if the batteries have the same type and capacity and are wired in parallel as a single 12V battery bank.

4. Can I use this suitcase to charging my 120v receptacles directly?

The suitcase is not able to charge 120V power receptacles directly. Plus a 12v battery and inverter would give the 120v output you would want. The panel would recharge the battery, the battery will store the power, and the inverter would be able to supply the 120v power that you need.

5. Are these monocrystallin or polycrystallin panels?

The suitcase with 2 pcs 50W Renogy high quality monocrystalline solar panels.

6. Can I use this suitcase in ranniy days? Can rain damage the solar kit?

The solar panels are fully waterproof with IP66 class. It will be able to work on rainy days and applicable to a wider range of scenarios, such as marine, yacht, etc. But we recommend you to use it with a waterproof charge controller, since water into the regular controller may damage the internal circuitry. You can search and find a bundle system including this suitcase with a waterproof Renogy Voyager 20A charger controller.

7. Why is my solar panel underproducing?

Solar panel performance may be hindered for a number of reasons. Most commonly environmental conditions such as indirect sunlight, temperature rise, cloudy sky, and dirt and stain build up on the top glass will cause a reduced power output. This is a portable suitcase, you may try to move it in place or adjust the kickstands angels to get better sunshine. The ideal output of it will be around 500 Watt-hours per day (Calculated based on 100Wx5h expected sunlight availability).

9. What does the 12V/24V in the product title of the solar panel mean? Why is it different from the value on the label/specification sheet of the solar panel?

The 12V/24V in product titles (ex. 100W 12V Monocrystalline Solar panel) does not refer to the actual voltage (Voc or Vmp) of the solar panels, but rather to the voltage of the solar system or energy storage system to which the panel is best suited. The voltage of the solar panel must be higher than the solar system voltage.

    100 W foldable PV system

Posted by Dave on Dec 5th 2023

Lighter than I thought it would be. The carry case is very well built. I thought the glass panels would fold inward to protect them from breaking and final assembly was a bit sloppy nuts on controller loose and 2 wires not fully inserted before tightening. Overall it is a very nice product that I am sure will do a good job keeping my camper battery full.

    Great power!

Posted by John L on Jul 3rd 2023

So far, so good! Pretty simple to set up and fantastic power production! I'm getting 6.2 amps in full noon sun! Can't ask for better than that out of a 100watt unit.

    Great panel, inspect everything!

Posted by Los on Nov 29th 2022

The panel is fantastic, just be sure to check everything during your installation…no matter how simple. Every fastener on the panel I received was loose, even inside the junction boxes ( which is concerning ). Took all of five minutes to tighten everything down.

    Please!!

Posted by MBRGR on Nov 21st 2022

These work great for an RV setup, but please use plexiglass instead of breakable glass, one wind gust knocked this over and shattered the glass on one side. It still works, but not like before and I was told I cannot buy a replacement panel. Thanks!

    Go For It

Posted by Tom on Aug 19th 2022

Purchased this for my camper. The dealer told me I had to buy the recommended brand from the manufacturer. NOT TRUE This works better than I expected! Only needed a reverse polarity connector, very cheap on the internet. I’m a Happy Camper lol
