NOTE
  • If the battery's Battery Management System (BMS) is activated and the battery voltage shows 0V, you must use a compatible Li charger to reactivate this battery.
  • Make sure to screw in the battery terminals tightly. Loose battery terminals will cause heat build-up and cause damage to the battery.
  • DO NOT string these batteries in series. They are made ONLY for wiring in parallel using identical batteries.
  • Due to its own chemical characteristics, lithium batteries are not allowed to be charged below 0°C. Therefore, if you choose a lithium battery without internal heating function, it is normal that the lithium battery cannot be charged below 0℃ for safety reasons. Therefore, we recommend that you do not discharge the battery for a long time below 0℃, which will possibly lead to over discharge of the battery.

1. How to activate the battery?

 
The battery is shipped in shelf mode. Before using the battery for the first time, please activate the battery with a charge/discharge current greater than 1A and measure the terminal voltage to validate. Prior to long periods of storage, please disconnect the battery from the system. The battery will enter shelf mode automatically after 30s. In shelf mode, the battery has a low self-discharge rate and can hold the charge for a longer period of time.

2. Can this battery be used in series to build a 48 volt system?

 
No, you can't. These Renogy 24V 25Ah lithium batteries do NOT support connecting in series. They are made ONLY for connecting in parallel using identical batteries, same type (lithium), same capacity (Ah), same voltage (V), same brand (Renogy).

3. How long will the battery last?

 
Our battery is capable of 2000 cycles of perfect charge and discharge, after which the efficiency of the battery will drop to 80% of the factory performance, but it is still very good for your use. If you live a completely off-grid life, calculated at the rate of a full charge and discharge per day, you will be able to use it for more than 5 years.

6. Can I pair a bluetooth Module for this battery to monitor the battery status on phone?

 
No. This battery is not compatible with Bluetooth module. You can use 500A Battery Monitor With Shunt to monitor battery status (which is sold separately).

7. How should I handle the battery after it arrives?

 
When you receive your battery, please be aware that it may have a low State of Charge (SOC) due to the transportation and storage process. To ensure its optimal performance, we recommend charging the battery right away to avoid over-discharge. If you plan to store the battery for an extended period without usage, we suggest charging it to a SOC of 30% to 50% and performing maintenance every three months. These steps will help maintain its functionality and performance over time.

8. Can you recommend a solar charge controller for this 24V 25Ah battery?

 
When purchasing a solar charge controller, ensure that the controller is compatible with the lithium iron phosphate battery. The Renogy Rover and Wanderer Series Charge controllers are fully compatible with our lithium-iron phosphate batteries. You can charge this battery with Rover Elite MPPT charge controller or 10A AC-to-DC LFP Portable Battery Charger.

    Surprising energy density

    I bought this to replace a set of six lead-acid marine batteries for a small solar installation that drives a water pump. I was very skeptical when I picked up the box. This weighed the same as a single small AGM battery, but claimed to store more energy than all six. The price is obviously high, but it is competitive when compared amp-hour/dollar. I've been using it for a few months now, and I am very surprised. It also doesn't off-gas like a lead acid battery. So I don't have to deal with as much corrosion. Only have one negative regarding the actual battery. If you over discharge the battery (I did it as a test), you can't charge it from a solar controller. You have to use a power supply. Not a big deal, but not intuitive unless you've read the user's manual. I liked it enough to order a second battery to add more features to the installation.
