Is this charger compatible with both 12V and 24V systems, and why does that matter?

Yes. It supports 12V and 24V solar panels, starter batteries, and house batteries. Built-in buck-boost technology also supports mixed-voltage systems, such as using a 12V source to charge a 24V house battery, providing greater flexibility for different vehicles and future system upgrades.
The maximum charging current is 50A for a 12V house battery and 25A for a 24V house battery.

How do I switch the charger between 12V and 24V?

In non-lithium battery modes, the charger supports 12V/24V switching. In lithium battery mode, select the correct voltage manually using the Battery Type button, the app, or Renogy CORE.

What are the solar input requirements for this charger?

(1) The charger is suitable for up to 750W solar panel.

(2) The charger is compatible with up to 50V solar panel input.

(3) The charger is compatible with both rigid and flexible modules.

What type of alternator is this charger compatible with?

The charger is compatible with smart alternators and traditional alternators, the working voltage of different alternators will be different. The product itself comes with Bluetooth communication function, you can connect to DC Home or Core via Bluetooth, and then adjust the appropriate input voltage value of the charger according to the characteristics of the working voltage of different types of alternators.

Does this charger support a D+/IGN signal?

Yes. The charger features a dedicated D+/IGN signal terminal and includes a D+/IGN signal wire. In IGN mode, it uses the engine-running signal to control charging from the starter battery to the house battery, helping prevent unnecessary starter battery drain when the engine is off. For vehicles without a D+/IGN signal, ALT mode can automatically start or stop charging based on changes in the starter battery voltage.
